What's on in February at the MEG
Geneva’s Museum of Ethnography – the MEG – has a whole lot in store for English-speaking visitors and their families this February. Tiny tot music workshops, shadow puppetry, an interactive dance installation, and films in English: take your pick and bring your kids along. For a change of scenery and fun times in one of Geneva’s iconic new buildings, there’s nothing like a trip to the MEG! All activities free of charge and many are family-friendly.

My Soul Is My Visa - Dance
Marco Berrettini and his performers delve into the world of funk and soul music and piece together a choreographic Frankenstein. Gathered around a piano that serves as their stage, the dancers perform their musical numbers, taking turns at being pianist or performer.

Bombay Jayashri - Indian Classical Music

Sounds of Transormation - Jazz and Madness
Join the Geneva Camerata music ensemble, with its director David Greilsamer and jazz pianist Yaron Herman for a Valentine’s Day evening of stylish crossovers between baroque and jazz, classical and contemporary. The grand setting of the Museum of Art and History is the ideal place to celebrate the launching of Geneva Camerata’s first album, Sounds of Transformation with Sony Classical.

Voces / Sara Baras - Flamenco Ballet
Flamenco superstar Sara Baras is at the Opéra des Nations for five sizzling guest performances of a new edition of Voces, antologia (“Voices”), a selection of the best moments of her repertory, for nine dancers. This sequence of abstract dance tableaux is a fervent musical tribute to the greatest names of the flamenco world : Paco de Lucía, Camarón de la Isla, Moraíto Chico, Antonio Gades or Carmen Amaya.

Sound and Vision – Tribute to David Bowie
Fanfare du Loup, despite its name, is a lot more than just a wind band. With 13 musicians exploring the widest range of musical styles from rock to classical, from jazz to world music, this Geneva institution is one of the most diverse and eclectic musical ensembles in Switzerland. It makes sense that they should choose to pay tribute to one of the most eclectic and protean musicians of our time, David Bowie. Follow Fanfare du Loup across Bowie’s bewildering array of styles, characters, imitations, techniques and fantasies, fired by his unquenchable artistic curiosity.

Groove'n Move Festival
The Groove is back again this year with its showcase of local and international street and urban creativity: dance companies, performers, exclusive DJs, all here in Geneva for an amazing week of Groove ‘n Move. Not just live performances, but also documentaries, battles, and hip hop styles are ready to take over some of Geneva’s coolest venues: the Zoo, the Grütli Arts Centre, the MEG or the Undertown.
