“PARSIFAL” BY RICHARD WAGNER
Classical Music
For Easter holidays, the Geneva Grand Théâtre had scheduled a new production of Wagner's "sacred stage festival", directed by Michael Thalheimer. Due to the pandemic it had to be cancelled. However, an adjusted concert version of Parsifal will be performed live on RTS Play and GTG Digital on Friday the 2nd of April by the Orchestre de la Suisse Romande. Echoing Good Friday spirit, the transcendent and religious come together in this musical meditation.
Spend an inspiring evening with the OSR, led by its musical and artistic director…

“ANOTHER PASSION”

Lidberg’s fluid, poetic and sensitive style composes each choreography like an architecture that favours linear and flowing beauty. Johann Sebastian Bach’s St Matthew Passion is interpreted with a great deal of humanity, sincerity and respect by the GTG ballet.

“THE orients revisited”
Ethno Music & Dance (Live streaming)
Tarab in Arabic evokes intense emotions, tinged with ecstasy and nostalgia, experienced by performers and spectators when sharing inspiring music... The repertoire of the Tarab ensemble navigates between music and dance from India, Afghanistan, the Arab-Turkish East and the Balkans, with a few hints to the world of jazz and Afro-American traditions. A moment of intimacy and verve that alternates original compositions by the members of the group and modal improvisations.
