Let there be music

A flagship event in the Franco-Swiss cultural landscape, JazzContreBand is a dynamic music festival dedicated to jazz and much more. Twenty-nine theaters in France and Switzerland work together to raise the profile of independent young artists. Join more than 60 jam sessions, concerts, and masterclasses! The big opening night is on October 1st at Alhambra.

Cinémas du Grütli – Agnes Varda

The talented Agnes Varda was unique and directed some of the finest documentaries made in France. Her work championed the development of the highly influential New Wave movement in the 1950s-60s. From feminist issues to social commentary, her experimental work has left its mark. Her restrocpective is accompanied by the latest documentary by Agard Varda.

Victoria Hall is launching family concerts on weekends at 11h! Concerts are about one hour long, adapted for the little ones’ enjoyment! This exhibition shows visitors this natural phenomenon, essential to the development and upkeep of all life, from teeny bacteria to giant vertebrates. In this great game of “catch me if you can,” predators live difficult and often dangerous lives. Learn to understand the complex relationships in this dog-eats-dog world. One for the bookworms – All books big and small

The Martin Bodmer Foundation unveils a new exhibition this year: "Giants & Dwarves", showing 47 books of different sizes, with the smallest at a minute 4.5 mm and the largest weighing 30kg! The Foundation has drawn from both extremes of its collection, featuring books that are rarely shown because they are either too small or too large, combined for an exhibition that is just right in every way.
