Concerts du dimanche
King Arthur, one of Henry Purcell's best-known plays, is classified as a semi-opera, a hybrid genre between theater and opera that was very fashionable in the 17th century. It is the story of King Arthur and the enchanting Merlin who try to take the beautiful Emmeline back to the King Oswald.
An irresistible concert to see at the Victoria Hall.
