JAPANESE CERAMICS
Tactile guided visit
With more than 780 items, dating from the mid-17th to the early 20th century, the Musée Ariana has one of the largest Swiss collections of Japanese ceramics. This ensemble is remarkable for the great richness of its omnipresent painted decoration.
On show for the first time in its entirety, this outstanding body of work traces the compelling history of developments in techniques and styles (blue and white, Imari, Kakiemon, Nabeshima, Satsuma and Kutani) in the Land of the Rising Sun. The main production centres represented offer a vast overview of Japanese ceramics.

BIG - BIENNALE INANNNNNNNNULABLE
To BIG, or not to be
Enough uncertainties, postponements and compromises! The BIG 2021 becomes the 4th Noncancelable Biennale of Art Spaces in Geneva, an edition that will be maintained no matter what. Pandemic or not, we believe that culture must remain unifying, inclusive and present in the public space. The BIG 2021 therefore takes the form of an installation in the heart of the city, evolving, hybrid and collective.

Wild Posters, militant memories
Posters exhibition
In the 1970s, a galaxy of protest groups and movements was formed in Geneva. In the wake of the May '68 posters, their members drew, wrote, printed and pasted on the walls of the city calls for reflection and demonstration. Wild posters, banners brandished during demonstrations, graffiti... Slogans are shouted with different media, texts and images invading the public space.
Although all slogans are written in French, these posters’ graphism expresses and illustrates well the Geneva contestatory mouvements of the time.

THE GRAND BAZAAR OF EVOLUTION
Bilingual Open-Air Exhibition
Do you know that diversity is not the result of competition alone but also of cooperation, mutual benefits and complex relationships between species? The Grand Bazaar of Evolution invites us to question the impact ours had on all others, but also to marvel at the extraordinary diversity of the Living and its history. It certainly has not been a long, gently flowing river... A stroll in Geneva botanical gardens, from the lake to the pool of the Winter Garden, helps us learn about the striking events of Life’s evolution on our planet and understand the mechanisms of biodiversity thanks to bilingual and interactive exhibition displays.
